Hello, I am Sandra Burgess BSN RN. I graduated from UCF in 2003 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Most of my career was spent taking care of seniors in South Florida with some family and female health along the way. I loved my patients but driving 100+miles daily over four counties daily seemed to work against my own health and wellness. So I sought out a change. With a move back to Central Florida, I was able to take charge of my own wellness and found that Pure Encapsulations is a big part of it. I am hoping others can benefit from my knowledge and experience.

Some areas of health and wellness that interest me are thyroid, digestive, and reproductive health. I also have a growing knowledge of DNA SNP's and how to apply the data obtained from a saliva DNA test to make better decisions about your health. Example: MTHFR is an evolving SNP=single nucleotide polymorphism that is prevalent in our population and it can affect how your body handles certain processes and can determine which forms of folate are appropriate for you.

Other interest are educating patients on navigating our health care system, better communication with your physician, and learning about health conditions. Education is key to understanding how your body works and getting the most from your physician. I hope to be able to help you with your wellness needs.
