When I first moved to Frederick, & my neighbor found out I was a Rolfer®, she kidded me "Hey, do you sell supplements?" It's kind of a point of pride amongst manual therapists, that we don't need a gimmick, either what we do works, or it doesn't.
What I do works (given correct application to correct problem), but again & again, I find myself relying on, or recommending supplements.
This site gives me a way to get good quality, at a good price, for my clients.
I recently tried out the Revital-Age Nerve formula, and had darn near miraculous results with a nerve problem (saphenous neuritis). I am taking four daily, morning and evening. Hoping to taper to two.
If you are a diabetic, or have kidney problems, chat with your doc before taking this, or any dietary supplement.
I also consistently recommend Alpha Lipoic Acid for nerve problems in the feet, such as plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. Certainly, you should get bodywork, orthotics, and do everything else! My experience is that this supplement eases nerve pain & inflammation generally, especially for post-shingles nerve disorders.
IF YOU ARE A DIABETIC! ALA can lower your blood sugar. PLEASE have a chat with your endocrinologist before you take it!
Lysine will not only keep Herpes Simplex cold sores at bay, it will help them disappear much more quickly. Pure has the best price and quality I have found, for Lysine.  It's pretty harmless, and also works well in combination with ALA for nerve problems, particularly "post-herpetic neuralgia" AKA shingles pain.
Herpes viruses really hate lysine.
I hope that helps you make your ions- I trimmed the larger list to things in my scope of practice, such as relaxation, sleep, muscle pain & tissue nutrition (EFA/Flax/Borage).
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I hope this helps you maintain your health & athletic endeavours. It certainly helps me!
