Dr. Cyndi Tran is a Doctor of Integrated Medicine/Traditional Naturopathy and an Ayurvedic Practitioner focused on understanding each patient's unique circumstances and the root cause of dis-ease in order to provide comprehensive, personalized healthcare. Dr. Tran integrates integrative medicine and Ayurveda with yoga therapy to address each patient's individual needs, support wellness and promote preventative health.
Dr. Tran's philosophy of health comes from the first principal of naturopathic medicine, "Vis Medicatrix Naturae" - the healing power of nature and the human body. In essence, our bodies have an innate ability to establish, maintain and restore health. Her toolbox to promote this ability includes conventional diagnostics, botanical medicine, supplementation, Ayurvedic and clinical nutrition, homeopathy, marma therapy, yoga therapy, and diet and lifestyle counseling. Dr. Tran's natural affinity for encouraging others is expressed in her warm and enthusiastic approach.
Dr. Tran's unique blend of integrative medicine and Ayurveda reflects her diverse educational and clinical background. She received her graduate degree from the University of Virginia, Ayurvedic Practitioner degree from the Kripalu School of Ayurveda, and a Doctor of Integratedl Medicine and Traditional Naturopathy degree from the University of Natural Medicine. She is a Professional Member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) and the American Naturopathic Medical Association (ANMA), a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500, and Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). She completed her clinical internship for Integrative Medicine at the Kaplan Center for Integrative Medicine and for Ayurveda at The Ayurvedic Institute.
Dr. Tran is passionate about life and brings this passion to her focus on enriching the lives of her patients and students. She is a yoga educator and instructor in service to two non-profit organizations, VEToga and the Prison Yoga Project. VEToga brings yoga, meditation, and healing arts to active military, veterans, their families and communities. The Prison Yoga Project provides tools for self-awareness, self-control and self-rehabilitation through yoga and mindfulness to prisoners and all trauma-impacted people in detention/rehabilitation facilities.
When not at work or serving the community, Dr. Tran enjoys practicing yoga and meditation and immersing in nature through hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, and paddle-boarding.
