My journey began when I graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor in pharmacy. I entered the retail industry backed with the ideology that I can help my patients achieve optimal health by thorough drug utilization review, patient counseling and ensuring compliance. However, after practicing community pharmacy almost a decade, I become disgruntled by the turn that the so-called "healthcare" industry has taken.

I watched my patients start new blood pressure medication, only to return a few months later on a higher dose. Then come back with a prescription for cholesterol lowering medication. A year or two later they begin treatment for diabetes. The question that I kept asking myself, "How could we be providing healthcare, if our patients are getting increasingly worse? If drugs are not the answer, then what is?" From there I began to explore nutrition and discovered the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. In an effort to be a part of the change, I decided to delve into the world of holistic health. Now I support my patients with nutritional counseling as well as neutraceuticals from Pure Encapsulations.

I specialize in working with people who are worried about chronic disease or who are already taking medications to treat them. Together, we’ll create a program to help you take charge of your health! We’ll combine lifestyle modification, meal planning, learn about what foods will help heal and where supplementation fits in.
