Genitourinary Health: PureBi•Ome™ Cranberry offers 4 clinically researched probiotic strains, Lactobacillus acidophilus (NCIMB 30157), Lactobacillus acidophilus (NCIMB 30156), Bifidobacterium bifidum (NCIMB 30153) and Bifidobacterium lactis (NCIMB 30172) combined with Lactobacillus gasseri (CUL-09) and cranberry extract to support genitourinary and gastrointestinal tract health. This probiotic blend is a highly researched 4-strain combination developed through a unique process designed to identify the strongest and most clinically effective probiotic strains. Numerous studies indicate that both probiotics and cranberry support microflora balance in the G.I. tract and the genitourinary tract. In particular, lactobacilli, including L. acidophilus and L. gasseri , appear to target genitourinary balance and health. Additionally, studies suggest that L. gasseri may support epithelial barrier integrity and healthy cervical cell growth.

PureBi•Ome™ Cranberry also includes PACRAN®, a unique whole fruit cranberry powder providing powerful proanthocyanidins and other phytonutrients to promote healthy genitourinary tract microflora balance, cytokine production and comfort in both women and men. What Is The Source?

Lactobacillus acidophilus (NCIMB 30157), Lactobacillus acidophilus (NCIMB 30156), Bifidobacterium bifidum (NCIMB 30153), Bifidobacterium lactis (NCIMB 30172) and Lactobacillus gasseri (CUL-09) are grown on a dairy-free soy-free medium. PACRAN® cranberry extract is derived from Vaccinium macrocarpon fruit. Hypo-allergenic plant fiber is derived from pine cellulose.

Pure Encapsulations recommends 2 capsules daily, in divided doses, with a meal.

Are There Any Potential Side Effects Or Precautions?

If pregnant or lactating, consult your physician before taking this product. Probiotics may result in mild flatulence, which should subside with continued use. They may be contra-indicated for use with immuno-compromised individuals. Cranberry juice has been associated with gastrointestinal upset, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea in some individuals. Consult your physician for more information.

Are There Any Potential Drug Interactions?

Probiotics may be contra-indicated with immuno-suppressant medications. Some in vitro studies suggest that cranberry could alter the way that the liver breaks down medications metabolized by the cytochrome P450 system, altering the effects of these medications and possibly the dose needed for treatment. However, this has not been demonstrated in human studies. Cranberry may be contra-indicated for individuals on blood thinning medications. Consult your physician for more information
