Wellness by Design serves to encourage whole body wellness in the community through nutrition consultations & group nutrition workshops, natural foods education, individualized therapeutic meal plans & books, and counseling on intuitive balanced eating. Our approach is guided by research based approaches to healing with herbs, supplementation and utilizing food-as-medicine or alongside medicine to enhance our bodies innate ability to heal.

Ashley is trained as a functional medicine practitioner through her education and masters degree in Functional Medicine Nutrition. Ashley also has advanced training in gastrointestinal imbalances, food sensitivities and treatments utilizing herbal compounds, pharmaceutical grade supplementation and natural diet approaches. Ashley's personal motivation to work with patients with digestive disorders and auto-immunity challenges comes from years of personal experience with learning to navigate treatment for Ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammatory and auto-immune condition of the bowels. After working with and learning from leaders in gastrointestinal nutrition from around the world, Ashley opened her practice with the intention to share what she has learned and put into practice. Ashley utilizes her personal experience and educational background to guide patients on a healing path that works with their personal preferences and biochemical individuality.
